Yikes! I have not posted here in a long time. I actually did write a post back in January and it's still saved as a draft because I forgot to publish it. Blah . . .

So what's been going on? Back in my (unpublished) January post I talked about the lack of work flow during the holidays, and it seems to still be the case at the company I type for! I do proof on rare occasions mostly medical files here and there, but it's just not going so good there. I have been applying other places.

I actually got hired at Allegis back in May--a company I wanted to work with so badly--but that same week learned my father had stage IV esophageal cancer. It hit me hard and I couldn't type what I had from company A, function, and then try to learn all of Allegis' guidelines, etc. So two days of work for them and had to resign. My father passed away about two weeks later which, naturally, has not been fun at all. I am now officially an orphan . . . and I don't think anyone is really ever ready to take that title. If any of you reading this know me, then you know the drama and issues with all of that :(

Oh, there is the writing! I actually have been writing under pen names--one for children's books and one for poetry and my novel that is in progress. I may link the two blogs for them here, not sure yet.
